Well this is a very easy task to accomplish.........
First download the required version from www.vmware.com, next copy it to the esx update folder then
type esxupdate -n update in command line
thats it the upgradation will start automatically.
after this process is complete reboot the ESX server once.
Now you have an upgraded ESX host.
